EPL Capital Lending Overview
Loan Amounts
We are currently targeting loans that range from $4M to $20M for our LifeCo direct lending platform. We have a partnership with an asset manager allocating for a REIT and are currently targeting $20-$50M loans for that platform.
Footprint
We are currently targeting loans within the top 100 MSAs with some limited exceptions. No multifamily in CA, NYC, or other jurisdictions with rent control. We are currently not lending in AZ, NV, ND, SD.
Bridge Lending Term
Typically 24 months interest-only with a 1-year extension option for a fee. In some cases, a 36-month term may be available or required. Pre-payment is typically structured as guaranteed interest equal to half of the term of the loan.

In his previous role, he spent almost five years as the sole originator at a small privately held LifeCo bridge lender where he was instrumental in the growth of a 70-year-old company.
A prolific loan originator, he averaged 2,500 to 3,000 loan submissions per year from a network built from scratch. In less than five years, he delivered loan portfolio growth of 600%.
Born and raised in suburban Chicago, he's called Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Palm Beach home before making Scottsdale, AZ his permanent home. He is an alumnus of The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.

Brandon brings 25 years of commercial underwriting, portfolio management, and business management experience. His banking career was launched in 2007 at the forefront of the Great Recession, which molded his skillset around heavy regulation and higher underwriting scrutiny.
He has been the peer-lead among 270 commercial bankers in a large institutional bank, demonstrating high underwriting proficiency, even having full concurrence results through direct OCC audits of complex credits and risk analysis. His career also included managing several commercial banking teams, the largest being composed of seventy seasoned bankers, credit analysts, and four credit officers.
He has underwritten over $2B in middle market credits, designed and managed high loan volume processing for a large regional bank, and managed compliance on portfolios over $500M in direct exposure.
